The last copy of the famous French Eiffel Tower was erected in the city of Taourirt in northeastern Morocco, and Moroccans were divided between welcoming the idea because it encourages tourists and introducing the city to others who considered the move a consecration of French colonialism.

A video clip filmed by the young Mustafa Al-Arabi caused a wide stir on social media, and the clip shows the model of the Eiffel Tower inside a tourist complex with the aim of attracting attention, which is very similar to the French tower, but with the difference that a pentagonal sign was placed in its upper part to indicate the Moroccan flag over a royal crown.

The program "Shabakat" 2023/9/27 dealt with some of the activists' comments on social media, including the tweet of Abdelali Ashernan, who commented sarcastically that the Moroccan city of Taourirt will need a visa to enter it, and said, "After the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Morocco Taourirt, the Taourirt community decides to impose a visa on tourists coming from outside the city to provide financial income for the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Rah is not laughing."

As for the tweeter Mohamed, he saw that the city attracts a large number of the Moroccan community residing in France, and therefore it was chosen to put the model, and said, "I am the son of the city of Taourirt, the idea or what is in it is that our city has a very large community, Europe in general or France in particular, and the idea from here began or the place to be placed in it is a summer resort full of immigrants and sons of the homeland in the summer."

On the other hand, Salma saw that such ideas do not encourage the local national heritage, writing, "Consolidating the idea of colonialism is trying to get rid of its remnants and these are taking us back, tourists come to see our heritage and antiquities, Makijush see Kobi Collie Medrah Dial France. Colonialism is unfortunately deep-rooted."

Criticizing the idea of the body, Karima wrote: "God bless the Taourirt Saint-Germain. What is this Francophone mentality? Our country is full of tourist treasures that we don't need with this piece of rust."

Activist Kamal commented, "What's the barrier? The whole world will know where Taourirt is located, they will visit it, domestic tourism will be encouraged, and this tower already belongs to all humanity, not just France."

It is noteworthy that after a split in opinions among Moroccans on this model, the management of the complex decided to remove this tower from its place, knowing that it was 27 meters long and made of iron and steel, while the Eiffel Tower in France consists of 18,320 pieces of iron fixed with more than two million nails, and its length is more than <> meters.
