Sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the Golden Panda Award is an international cultural award for the world, with film and television works as the carrier and giant pandas as cultural symbols, so as to promote exchanges and mutual learning among human civilizations and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
The first Golden Panda Awards consists of four major units: film, TV series, documentary and cartoon. Among them, there are 9 awards in the film unit, 9 awards in the TV series unit, 4 awards in the documentary unit, and 3 awards in the animation unit.
Zhang Yimou, chairman of the jury of the first Golden Panda Award and an internationally renowned director, said that film is an art that needs cooperation and exchange the most, and the original intention of the establishment of the Golden Panda Award is to let world civilizations cooperate more, communicate more, learn more and communicate more.
In the documentary section, "Little Miracle of the Giant Panda" won the Best Documentary Award; Marty Nalanen of "Norwegian Children's Cup Football" won the Best Editing Award; Samuel Tuttan and Philip Burton of "The Frozen Kingdom of the Snow Leopard" won the Best Cinematography Award; Sun Chao, the director of "Little Boy", won the Best Director Award.
In the animation category, "Deep Sea" won the Best Visual Effects Award; "Chinese Wonder Tan" won the Best Animation Award; Moomin Valley Season 3 won the Best Animated Image Award.
In the TV drama unit, the American TV series "1923 First Season" won the Best Drama Award; Zhang Yongxin won the Best Director Award for "The Age of Awakening"; Margarita Matsu won the Best Actress Award for "My Genius Girlfriend Season <>"; Lei Jiayin won the Best Actor Award for "The World".
The film unit announced at the finale, "Jojo's Whimsical World" won the Best Film Award and the Best Music Award; Zhang Songwen and Ni Hongjie won the Best Supporting Actor Award and the Best Supporting Actress Award for "More Than Endless" and "Love Myth" respectively; Penelope Cruz won Best Actress for "Parallel Mother"; Naville Perez Biskayat won the Best Actor Award for "Persian Lesson".
