Chantal Goya was born in Vietnam, a few years before French decolonization. On the occasion of her next tour, the singer acclaimed by the public returned to her difficult childhood at the microphone of Pascal Praud, this Thursday in the show Pascal Praud and you. "Life was wonderful for two years and after three years, the Viet Cong arrived... I heard my parents say 'they are coming to cut off the heads of the French,'" she said, recalling seeing her father tied to a cart after coming out of hiding. "I told them, 'You won't cut off Daddy's head,' and they untied my father."
