Just before noon on the 21st, the window glass of a JR train was broken while running in Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City, and JR Kyushu and the police are investigating the cause in detail. No passengers were injured.

According to JR Kyushu, at around 21:11 a.m. on the 1st, a local train on the Wakamatsu Line was departing from Wakamatsu Station in Kitakyushu City and heading to Fujinoki Station, when one of the windows broke.

The train was a two-car train, and when it arrived at Fujinoki Station, the driver checked it after being pointed out by a passenger, and it was confirmed that the glass on the side of the second car was broken.

The window glass was about 2 meter long and 2 meters wide, and more than half of the glass was broken and fragments were scattered on the seats and aisles.

At the time, there were about 1 people on board, none of whom were injured, and the train resumed operation about 3 minutes after moving all passengers to a neighboring car.

According to the police, a passenger who was in the train at the time said, "There was an impact sound on the window glass about one minute before arriving at Fujinoki Station."

JR Kyushu and the police are investigating the cause in detail by checking the situation around the vehicle and the site.
