People who ate bento boxes from Yoshidaya, an ekiben manufacturer in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, have complained of feeling unwell one after another, and at least 298 people nationwide have complained of symptoms, and public health centers are continuing to investigate the cause.

Complaints of poor health such as diarrhea and vomiting have been made one after another by people who ate bento boxes made by the ekiben manufacturer "Yoshidaya" in Hachinohe City with an expiration date of the 16th and 17th of this month.

According to the Hachinohe City Public Health Center in Aomori Prefecture, as of 21 a.m. on the 9st, the number of people complaining of feeling unwell has increased since the 20th, and the number of people nationwide has risen to 298.

Until now, no one in Aomori Prefecture had been able to confirm that he was feeling unwell, but one person was confirmed for the first time in Hachinohe City, and he purchased a boxed lunch at Morioka Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen on the 1th of this month, after which he developed symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting.

Since there are high probability that there have been complaints of poor health or that the bento boxes in question have been distributed in 16 Tokyo and 1 prefectures, the public health center has suspected food poisoning and will continue to confirm the damage and investigate to identify the cause.
