In the Battle of Sekigahara, it was decided to hold events in cooperation with Gifu Prefecture, where Kanda Myojin of Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, where Tokugawa Ieyasu visited to pray for victory, was the scene of the battle.

This was announced at Kanda Myojin on the 21st by a person in charge of Gifu Prefecture at a press conference.

As a result, with the "Battle of Sekigahara" as a historical connection, we will work together to hold events in anticipation of the 2030th anniversary of the founding of Kanda Myojin in 1300.

Specifically, there will be an exhibition of the collections of Kanda Myojin and Sekigahara Town, lectures by historians, and a campaign using the "Nakasendō" that traces Gifu Prefecture from the Japan Bridge, which was considered an important trunk line at the time.

Kazuhiro Kitamura, manager of the Gifu Prefecture Tourism Resource Utilization Division, said, "We hope that many people will visit Gifu by collaborating with shrines in the center of Tokyo."

After this, Mr. Masanori Kishikawa and Mr. Masanori Kishikawa talked with Mr. Tetsuo Owada, Director of the Gifu Sekigahara Ancient Battlefield Memorial Museum and Professor Emeritus of Shizuoka University, and exchanged opinions on the significance of collaboration, such as "This is an initiative that we do not hear much about between shrines and local governments, and I hope that it will strengthen information dissemination and unearth history."
