【Live sound】

Are you blindly breaking this ship?

Blind broken.

What about lead seals?

Lead sealed.

【Commentary】Down the narrow suspension ladder into the humid and stuffy cabin, from the low "manhole" into the dirty and smelly bottom compartment, shuttling through the dark passage full of complex pipes... In order to find out the true situation of the ship's pollutant emissions, such on-site inspections have long been commonplace for Yang Yang and her colleagues.

Recently, the reporter met Yang Yang and her colleagues from the Jiangbeizui Law Enforcement Brigade of the Chongqing Chaotianmen Maritime Department who were inspecting the cabin sewage pipe system in Chongqing Guoyuan Port.

The pipe system of the bilge is intricate and also dark. We often can't see clearly, and we are groping to move forward step by step to get the ship's pipeline clear.

Through the inspection and analysis of more than 1,5000 ship valves and pipelines, and exchanges with more than 80,<> crew members and more than <> shipping companies, Chongqing Maritime Safety Bureau took the lead in pioneering the concept of "zero discharge" of ship water pollutants in the country, solved the problem of ship anti-pollution supervision, and explored a new path for the ecological protection of the Yangtze River.

【Explanation】The "zero discharge" of ship water pollutants refers to a new treatment model in which the ship stores the generated sewage in the ship's device, delivers it to the terminal or relevant receiving unit after arriving at the port, and finally carries out centralized disposal of the sewage on the shore.

【During the same period】Zhang Wang, deputy director of the Hazard Management and Pollution Prevention Division of Chongqing Maritime Safety Bureau

For a long time, the sewage on board has adopted the mode of discharging it after treatment through the treatment device set up on the ship. However, in the process of implementing the standard emission mode, we found that the standard emission has a series of problems such as high cost of use, poor stability of compliance and difficulty in crew operation. To this end, we have promoted the "zero discharge" treatment model of ship sewage storage and shore disposal in the Chongqing section.

【Commentary】According to reports, after the ship implemented "zero discharge" of sewage, the treatment device on the ship was no longer used, and the cost was effectively reduced; The complete delivery of sewage to the shore for centralized disposal reduces the cost and fatigue of the crew to operate the equipment, and also avoids the pollution caused by substandard sewage discharge or illegal discharge of water.

Anyway, it is much more convenient for our ship, (compared to before) two things are recorded, and the sewage treatment device is not used, that is, it is much more convenient. (Sewage) does not need to be treated by yourself, and then delivered, and it is delivered directly, which is one less process.

In order to prevent the problem of smuggling emissions when ships adopt the "zero emission" treatment mode, Yang Yang and his colleagues also pioneered the "double lead seal" and "double blind break" methods in China to ensure that 100% of pollutants go ashore; Carry out "blue water mobile classroom" to explain laws and regulations and the knowledge of "zero discharge" of ship pollutants... Today, the "zero discharge" treatment model of ship water pollutants has been promoted throughout the Yangtze River trunk line, gradually becoming a new consensus in the industry, and the domestic sewage of more than 3,<> inland river vessels sailing on the Yangtze River trunk line all year round has basically achieved "zero discharge".

【During the same period】 Yang Yang, deputy captain of the Jiangbeizui Law Enforcement Brigade of the Chongqing Chaotianmen Maritime Department

In fact, "zero emission" was a small attempt at the grassroots level at the beginning, but now it can be promoted on the Yangtze River trunk line, and we are extremely proud. So now we see that the sky is bluer, the water is greener, and we hope that everyone can actively take action (to protect the ecology of the Yangtze River).
