A video of Ramaswamy singing along to Eminem's hit "Lose yourself" was widely circulated on social media earlier in August.
Broadcast Music Inc, which licenses music, confirmed in a letter that it had received a demand from Eminem that the 38-year-old presidential candidate stop using the rap star's music.
Ramaswamy's spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin has announced that the presidential candidate will stop using the song in her campaigning.
"We have to leave the rapping to the real Slim Shady (Eminem's alter ego)," she said.
Not the first time
In the past two presidential elections, several major bands and artists – including Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Aerosmith and Adele – expressed their displeasure with their music being played at Donald Trump's rallies.
The Rolling Stones even threatened to sue the Trump campaign if they didn't stop playing the British rock group's classic hit "You can't always get what you want".
