On the 26th of this month, 10-month-old Kisuo Nakayama was stranded in a car under the scorching sun for about two and a half hours from around 10 a.m. in the parking lot of a commercial facility in Yahata Nishi-ku, Kitakyushu City, and died at the hospital where he was transported.

On the 2th, in the parking lot of the police station, the police recreated the situation at that time using an actual car in which Kijuo's family and other family members were riding, and conducted verification work.

The car was parked facing west, just like it was then, and the engine was turned off at 10 a.m. to see how much the temperature inside the car would rise in two and a half hours.

According to the police, the parents went into the store separately from another sibling or acquaintance who came with them on the day of the event, and each of them talked to the effect that they "thought the other was taking them" until they noticed that Kijuo was not there.

Based on the results of the investigation on the 2th, the police will proceed with the investigation cautiously with a view to the suspicion of abandonment of the person responsible for protection.
