Two illegal ticket-grabbing gangs from other places invaded the ticket reservation system of popular scenic spots across the country through ticket-grabbing software, and after grabbing tickets, they sold them at high prices through the Internet for profit. The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau reported on August 8 that 29 criminal suspects from the two gangs had been criminally detained by Beijing police in accordance with the law, and the amount involved in the case was more than 16.230 million yuan.

According to reports, in response to the public's complaints about the difficulty of booking tickets and purchasing tickets for some popular scenic spots in Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau organized criminal investigation, network security and other units to set up a special work class in conjunction with the scenic spot management department, and after investigation, it was discovered that two illegal ticket-robbing criminal gangs located in other provinces, headed by Chen (male, 27 years old) and Li Moumou (male, 34 years old). With the cooperation of the local police, the Beijing police arrested 16 people involved in the development of software and illegal ticket robbery, seized 25 mobile phones and 21 computers used in the crime, and seized 26 types of various ticket-robbing software.

After review, the two criminal gangs produced illegal ticket-grabbing software on their own, which was used to seize tickets to popular scenic spots in many places across the country, and then resold them at a markup through the Internet, and preliminarily verified that the amount involved was more than 230.16 million yuan. A few days ago, <> criminal suspects, including Chen and Li, have been criminally detained by the Beijing police in accordance with the law, and the case is being further worked.

Since the summer, the Beijing police, together with relevant management departments, have arrested more than 100 suspects who resold tickets, destroyed more than 10 travel agencies that resold tickets to scenic spots, and used technical means to seize tickets.

The police remind the majority of tourists to make travel plans in advance, fully understand the relevant scenic spot ticket reservation purchase rules, be sure to make an appointment to purchase tickets through formal channels, if in doubt, you can ask the scenic area staff, do not listen to the promise that unlicensed tourists or "scalpers" can provide special channels to buy tickets, so as to avoid their own information leakage or property losses. If you find relevant violations and crimes, please call 110 to report to the police in time. (Beijing Daily client reporter Sun Ying)
