Beijing, August 8 (Zhongxin Net) -- This year marks the 29th anniversary of Yuan Longping, the "father of the world's hybrid rice," who has overcome the difficulties of supporting the three lines of indica hybrid rice. The press conference of the original national concert of "One Seed Changes the World" was held in Beijing on the 50th. The concert will premiere at the Beijing Concert Hall on September 28, followed by one in Changsha on September 9 and one in Huaihua on September 4.

Huaihua is located in the west gate of Hunan and is the birthplace of hybrid rice in the world. Academician Yuan Longping, the "father of the world's hybrid rice" and "recipient of the Order of the Republic", was assigned to Hunan Anjiang Agricultural School in Huaihua in 1953, and engaged in teaching and hybrid rice research for 37 years. In October 1973, Yuan Longping's team announced the success of the three lines of Chinese indica hybrid rice. A seed, from Huaihua to the world, also changed the world.
The "One Seed Changes the World" original folk concert will present 7 original music works such as "Rice Blossoms Float Fragrant", "Mother, Rice is Ripe", "Passage to Troops", "Southern Snow Peak", "The Other Side of the Mountain is the Sea", "Wuxi New Rhyme", "Beautiful Country", etc., and integrate local ethnic elements such as Miao songs, Dong songs, and Yuanshui trumpets, with a total duration of about 60 minutes. The main creative team of the concert is led by the famous musician Du Mingxin, composed of three generations of artists such as Xiang-born composers Meng Yong and Jiang Hui, composer Liu Yizhang in the United States, and Liu Yintong, a teacher of the composition department of Tianjin Conservatory of Music.

Wang Fujian, professor of the Conducting Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, will direct the Chinese Orchestra of the Central Chinese Orchestra, Yuan Xuanwei, professor of the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music and bamboo flute player, Jin Yue, principal of the Central Chinese Orchestra and huqin player, and Zhang Kaiqiang, a young flute player, will serve as soloists.
