Michael Parkinson's television career lasted seven decades and made him one of the great forerunners in the industry. An English icon who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth to Sir Michael.

His talk show was broadcast several times starting in 1971 on the BBC. The last program was broadcast in 2007. By then, Sweden had also seen Parkinson's programs. His talk show was broadcast on SVT between 2002 and 2008.

The breakthrough came thanks to several famous interviews in the 1970s, with Muhammad Ali and John Lennon, among others.
