Actress Zooey Deschanel and TV host Jonathan Scott have been dating since 2019

Actress Zooey Deschanel wants to remarry: The 43-year-old has become engaged to her partner, 45-year-old presenter Jonathan Scott, after four years of dating. On Instagram, the couple presented the ring and the location of the event.
The photo shows the "New Girl" actress and Scott snuggled together in front of a castle wall. Deschanel holds up his left hand, on which you can see a ring with several colorful stones. "Forever begins now!!," she wrote.
People magazine claims to have learned that Scott Deschanel proposed on Sunday during a family trip to Scotland. Scott's family is originally from Scotland. How exactly he asked Deschanel for her hand in marriage is not reported. However, Deschanel's children, eight-year-old Elsie and six-year-old Charlie, are said to have played a role in the marriage proposal, according to the magazine.

Deschanel and Scott met in 2019 during an episode of James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke." They participated along with Deschanel's sister and actress Emily Deschanel, as well as Scott's twin brother and presenter Drew Scott.
A few weeks before getting to know each other, Deschanel had announced that she had separated from film producer Jacob Pechenik after four years of marriage. The two children are from this marriage. Previously, the actress was married to singer Ben Gibbard from 2009 to 2012.
Scott has also been married: in 2007, he married his longtime partner Kelsy Ully. The couple separated in 2010 but didn't divorce until 2019.
