Beijing, August 8 (ZXS) -- China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the results of a national air quality forecast consultation on the 15th, showing that in the second half of August, most of the country's air quality was mainly good to light pollution, and some cities may have moderate and above pollution.

The China Environmental Monitoring Station, together with the Central Meteorological Observatory, the National Air Pollution Prevention and Control Center, the Northeast, South China, Southwest, Northwest and Yangtze River Delta Regional Air Quality Prediction and Forecasting Center, and the Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, held a national air quality forecast consultation in the second half of August (August 8-August 8).

The results of the meeting showed that in the second half of August, most of the country's air quality was mainly good to light pollution, and some cities may have moderate and above pollution, and the primary pollutant is ozone. Among them, from the 8th to the 16th, affected by unfavorable meteorological conditions, moderate ozone pollution may occur in some cities in the central and southern part of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, central and southern Shanxi, eastern and western Shanxi, north-central Henan, north-central Yangtze River Delta, central and eastern Guanzhong and other places. Affected by sand and dust weather, short-term inhalable particulate matter (PM18) pollution may occur in the northern part of the northwest region from the 16th to the 17th, and moderate to severe pollution may occur in some cities in southern Xinjiang. From the 10st to the 21rd, the pollution situation may be alleviated due to the large-scale precipitation process.

In the second half of August, the air quality in most of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas was mainly good to light pollution. Among them, from the 8th to the 16th, the overall temperature of the region rebounded, the cloudiness was less, affected by sunny and hot weather and systematic southerly wind, the diffusion conditions were unfavorable, most of the region was dominated by good to light pollution, and moderate pollution may occur in some cities in the central and southern part of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, central and southern Shanxi, eastern and western Shanxi and central and northern Henan. The primary pollutant is ozone.

The results of the meeting showed that in the second half of August, the air quality in most parts of the Fenwei Plain was mainly good to mildly polluted. Most of the areas in the early stage have high temperatures, which is conducive to ozone generation, and in the middle and late stages, due to the influence of dispersed precipitation, ozone pollution has been alleviated, and the air quality is mainly good to light pollution.
