David Ritschard had just performed his song "Duplantis Blues" when he, together with host Pernilla Wahlgren, started the sing-along "I once had a boat". However, Ritschard did not have time to take a single note before something went wrong.

"Oh, this is not so good. I think we have to break here," Wahlgren was heard saying as the television cameras swept over the audience.

What was not visible in the box, but to which Wahlgren reacted, was that David Ritschard collapsed on stage and had to be carried out on a stretcher.

"Up on your legs"

Pernilla Wahlgren had to finish singing "I once had a boat" on her own. It wasn't until a few minutes later, after the pop duo Samir and Viktor took the Skansen stage, that she came with reassuring news.

"David is fine behind there. He is up on his feet and is taken care of by our team. Now we can rest easy, everyone here and all of you at home. Wonderful news indeed, said Wahlgren.

Moments later, the season finale ended as planned with a song in which the host revealed that she will lead the show next year as well.

Fell apart even in Jill's porch

This isn't the first time David Ritschard, who has made a rocket career since his breakthrough in 2021, has collapsed in front of television cameras. Last autumn, he collapsed during the filming of SVT's Jill's veranda, something that he himself told Aftonbladet.

"It was scary. And that hasn't happened before or since. It's a new experience. A little unfortunate for me that it takes place in front of state television cameras. But there is no undoing it," Ritschard told the newspaper.

After the collapse, filming of Jill's porch had to be broken while Ritschard was taken to hospital. According to himself, it was all due to exhaustion.

"Provocatively, the whitecoats (doctors) said that my values looked okay, that I was exhausted and dehydrated.
