Beijing, August 8 (Reporter Gao Kai) The "Reshaping - 15 Beijing Stage Art Design Invitation Exhibition", jointly sponsored by the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the China Stage Art Society, recently held an opening ceremony at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Art Museum (West Hall).

In the 80s of last century, China began to explore the diversification of stage art forms, and the artistic vision of Chinese stage artists continued to expand. In order to focus on the creative achievements of Chinese stage art design and build a platform for artists to communicate, display and dialogue, in 2011, NCPA launched the first "Beijing Stage Art Design Invitation Exhibition", which attracted widespread attention from all walks of life. In 2015 and 2019, he planned the second and third invitational exhibitions with the themes of "State" and "Unbounded".

According to reports, the theme of this exhibition is "reshaping", aiming to show the extensive practice of stage artists in the context of the new era, re-examining, reshaping, keeping up with the times, renewing, and constantly broadening the extension of stage art and enriching the concept of "great dance beauty". The exhibition presents a total of 23 recent works of outstanding artists from different fields such as domestic stage design, costumes, lighting, multimedia comprehensive art installations, etc., from which we can see their thoughts and feelings in the face of the development of the times, as well as the new look and exploration of China's stage art industry in the new era.

After the opening ceremony, more than 20 participating artists and some special guests participated in the stage art design seminar with the theme of "Reshaping the Future". Xue Dianjie, honorary president of the China Stage Art Society, said that in order to match the theme of "remodeling", he re-painted several renderings of the drama "The Gate of the Mansion", and the National Centre for the Performing Arts also reproduced a thick, well-made, and interactive stage model work, presenting the audience with a collision and contrast between tradition and modernity.

Liu Xinglin, vice president of the China Stage Art Society, chairman of the China Center of the International Stage Art Organization, professor of the Central Academy of Drama and academic host of this exhibition, said that the importance of media and technology lies in the promotion of the influence of ideas and methods, not as isolated means. The process of media development is not simply replacing each other, but accumulating. In practice, it is worth noting that new ideas can be embodied in old media, but new media can also mask old ideas.

According to reports, in the future, the "Beijing Stage Art Design Invitation Exhibition" will continue to grow together with China's stage art and art, relying on the advantageous resources of the National Art Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the "Comprehensive Art Display Platform" to promote the vigorous development of China's stage art industry, promote the dialogue and exchange of stage art designers at home and abroad, and present more excellent stage art works showing Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese style for the audience.

It is reported that the exhibition will last until October 10, and the audience only needs a ticket to visit the Grand Theater to enter the exhibition hall and feel the unique charm of "remodeling" in the wonderful ideas of the artists. (End)
