The seventh plenary meeting of the 11th Mao Dun Literature Award Appraisal Committee was held in Beijing on the 5th, according to reports, the jury conducted the last round of voting under the notarization of the national notary institution, and after the review and approval of the Secretariat of the Party Group of the China Writers Association, Yang Zhijun's "Snow Mountain and Earth", Qiao Ye's "Baoshui", Liu Liangcheng's "Bemba", Sun Ganlu's "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains", and East-West "Echo" <> novels won this award.

The 2019th Mao Dun Literature Award is a novel first published in Chinese mainland between 2022 and 3, and the call for entries was launched on March 15 and ended on April 4 this year.

The award-winning "Snow Mountains and Earth" is the latest novel by writer Yang Zhijun, in which the author fondly looks back on the arduous exploration footprints of his father and mother and generations of grassland builders, and writes about the great changes of the times in high-altitude areas and the spiritual path of grassland herders, and the themes of man and nature, man and animals, ecology and development run throughout; The protagonist of Qiao Ye's "Baoshui" witnesses the rich and profound transmutation of the countryside in the context of the new era with a distinct subjective presence, and the author tells the current Chinese rural life in the four-season sequence; Liu Liangcheng's "Bemba" unfolds against the background of the Mongolian heroic epic "Jangal", tracing the lost human childhood, Liu Liangcheng restarts time at the end of the epic, recreates mountains and rivers, and achieves a work full of imagination and speculation, but also natural and naïve; Writer Sun Ganlu's "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" entered Shanghai in the thirties of the last century, from which hidden and great historical events were salvaged, and the author used the novelist's pen power to write a series of twists and turns, thrilling life and death battles, highlighting the passionate faith and spiritual monuments of idealists; "Echoes" tells the life story of a female policeman, and the author places the novel in a broad social life, and conducts a profound exploration of the fate, personality, and psychology of the characters.
