That same day [August 7] the under loco-regional anesthesia and sedation (Dr. Pérez/Dr. Buitrago) the dislocation is reduced by a flying approach. A DVR-type plate is installed with temporary fixation with Kirschner needles and arthroscopically the joint fragments of the scaphoid fossa and the crescent are reduced. The flying fragment containing the short radio-semilunar ligament is sutured with an arthroscopic stitch to the plate. The incision is closed by planes," according to the medical report.
The prospect is six weeks of immobilization with a splint, "with the idea of then starting rehabilitation."
Diego Urdiales will take one of the first substitutions left by Cayetano Rivera next Friday, August 11 in El Puerto de Santa María.
