After the 38 members of the Langfang team arrived with 7 professional equipment, including heavy rescue vehicles, they carried out drainage work overnight. The underground garage and underground storage room of the residential building were flooded, so the residential building could not restore the power supply, network, water supply, etc. This drainage point currently has 5 pumping pumps operating simultaneously, and one more will be added this evening.
The underground parking garage area is relatively large, and the structure is complex, unlike open water drainage, rescuers can only discharge the stagnant water little by little from the entrance, as the water surface falls, the rescuers must keep moving the position of the drainage pump, in order to effectively discharge the stagnant water, that is, "people follow the pump", it is necessary to continuously extend the length of the cable required for the drainage pipe and pump power supply. The drainage pipe now extends from the underground garage to the drain for nearly 300 meters. The drainage outlet is placed in the channel of the North Juma River to minimize the surrounding environment.
