At the end of her U.S. tour, Taylor Swift is generous to her crew. Swift surprised the tour's truckers with a check for $100,000, Michael Scherkenbach, founder and CEO of Denver, Colorado-based logistics company Shomotion, told CNN. Among other things, Scherkenbach's company is responsible for transporting the equipment for the pop star's successful Eras tour.

The "generous" amount far exceeds the usual premium, he said. The typical amount is around $5000,10 to $000,<> per person. So this high amount is incredible. Life-changing.«

"These men and women live on the streets. They sleep during the day and work all night," he said. It's a grueling task. They leave their families and young children behind for weeks. They were away from home for 24 weeks for Taylor's tour."

$100,000 is a down payment on a house or the tuition for a child, Scherkenbach said. "You can't buy a house with a fair wage. But that opens up this possibility.«

Swift can afford it – her tour is expected to bring in $1.6 billion

The checks were presented by Swift's father, Scott, at a meeting before the last US concerts in Los Angeles. The drivers thought it would be a routine meeting to clarify the procedures for the next few days. Far from it!

But not only the truck drivers, but also other crew members from the catering, video and audio sector and lighting technicians are said to have received fat bonus payments.

In any case, Taylor Swift can afford it. According to Forbes estimates, the "Eras" tour could bring in a total of around 1.6 billion dollars and make Swift up to half a billion dollars richer.
