The "air passage" set up by rescue helicopters allowed the besieged community to usher in emergency rescue due to floodwaters caused by the collapse of the basement.

Affected by the combination of cold and warm air and Typhoon Du Surui, most of Hebei Province has experienced heavy rainfall since July 7. On August 27, the Shuishang Renjia community near the north Zhuma River attracted attention on social media platforms for a video of "basement collapse and buildings surrounded by floodwaters." For a time, the safety of the residents here affected people's hearts.

He Jun, commander of the ram rescue team who undertook the rescue mission, told the China News Agency that the community was flooded due to the collapse of the basement, and the assault boat was difficult to enter, and the rescue was very difficult.

According to He Jun, the air rescue used H155 helicopters, which are large helicopters and use winch "island" lifting method to carry out rescue. "This afternoon, a total of 13 stranded residents, including several children and a 4-month-old baby, were transferred from the Shuishang Renjia community on two sorties."

Ms. Wen, the baby's mother, told reporters that she and her child have been trapped for 2 days, and are very grateful for the efforts of the rescue team, and the child is currently in good condition.

Also rescued were 13-year-old girl Huang Yanqi and her brother and sister. As soon as she got off the helicopter, she called her parents to report that she was safe. "Mom and Dad were blocked outside due to flooding, the signal at home was not good, the phone could not be called, now wait for Mom and Dad to come and pick us up."

After the flood situation occurred in Zhuozhou City, the Emergency Management Department of Hebei Province immediately activated the on-site coordination mechanism for social emergency response forces in Hebei Province to participate in rescue and rescue operations for major and extraordinarily serious disasters, and guided social emergency response forces to participate in rescue and rescue operations in an orderly manner. More than 150 civilian rescue forces, including the Blue Sky Rescue Team and the Ram Rescue Team, have arrived in Zhuozhou.

"From 2 o'clock to 8 pm today (5nd), rescue helicopters have transferred 6 sorties in urban and rural areas of Zhuozhou, completing the safe transfer of 39 residents." He Jun said that in the future, aviation rescue will continue. (End)
