Festival-goers started pouring in on Monday and Tuesday, but organizers urged people to stay at home while waiting for better weather. Despite this, thousands of visitors made their way to the area and long traffic jams were created when cars needed to be towed away with the help of tractors.

On Wednesday, the festival management announced that the maximum limit for visitors considering the weather conditions, 50,000 people, had been reached. They felt they had no choice but to close the area to more people for security reasons.

The festival has sold tickets to 85,000 people and those who are denied entry will have their money refunded.

More than 200 concerts are planned during the festival with bands such as Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Swedish Hammerfall.
