Zhongxin Wanghai, July 7 (Reporter Li Shuzheng) A 25.300-carat loose diamond worth more than 5 million yuan has become a few hundred yuan of zircon in a blink of an eye. In front of everyone's eyes, what technique did the man use to complete this sky-high diamond transfer?

The reporter learned from Shanghai Jing'an police on the 25th that recently, the police quickly detected a diamond theft case, and finally intercepted a courier containing stolen diamonds at an express sorting station in Shanghai. Both men involved in the case were criminally detained by the police on suspicion of theft.

At present, the criminal suspects Chen Mouchao and Chen Moufeng have been criminally detained by the Jing'an police in accordance with the law on suspicion of theft.

At about 7 o'clock on July 7, the North Station Police Station of the Jing'an Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau received an alarm saying that a loose diamond worth 12.343 million yuan worth 5.09 million yuan was transferred to a loose diamond store on Tiantong Road in Jing'an District and replaced with a few hundred yuan of zircon, so the police called the police for help.

After arriving at the store, the police learned that the loose diamond was a diamond that was going to be inspected in its store on the same day, and the transaction was made by a customer Chen Mouchao who had made an appointment two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, the man had informed the store that he was interested in buying loose diamonds from large carats and selected a loose diamond of 5.09 carats on the store's website.

The store introduced that at 7 o'clock on the 11th, Chen Mouchao arrived at the store as scheduled, and after paying the intention fee of 10,<> yuan, the store took him to the VIP room to negotiate the details of the transaction. During the period, the store introduced the basic information of the diamond, and used professional tools to take out the diamond for Chen Mouchao to see and identify, but Chen Mouchao asked the store for white paper and pencils, insisting on "inspection" in his own way.

After inspecting the goods, Chen Mouchao left the store within 10 minutes on the grounds of calling the company's finance to make payment. Seeing that the "customer" did not reply for more than 10 minutes, the store staff began to contact by phone and WeChat, but there was no response. Later, the store found that the diamond's GIA code was abnormal through instrument testing, and the real diamond had been transferred.

After careful investigation, the police said that the booking customer, Chen Mouchao, was suspected of committing a major crime.

"The public video in the store shows that during the inspection, Chen Mouchao's left hand has been pinched under the table, he finds a reason to open the eyes of the assistant on the side, and keeps talking with the person in charge of the store, and then puts the diamond in the palm of his hand, the diamond is in the blind area of the person in charge of the store, and then the left and right hands interact with each other, and the diamond returns to the paper." After careful investigation, the police said that the booking customer, Chen Mouchao, was suspected of committing a major crime. Because the fake diamond is similar in shape and size, the light is absorbed by the white paper at the bottom, and the store staff failed to detect that it was "transferred" at the first time.

The police immediately launched a video investigation of Chen Mouchao and found that after leaving the store, he took and transferred to public transportation to Shanghai South Railway Station to prepare to leave Shanghai. Under the guidance of the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and the strong support of the railway public security, the special case team arrested Chen Mouchao in one fell swoop in the waiting hall of the South Railway Station at 7:15 on the 20th. However, upon search, no stolen diamonds were found in his belongings.

The special case team then analyzed and judged Chen Mouchao's whereabouts that day, and found that after he succeeded in the crime, he was suspected of taking the subway to Xinzhuang Station first, and after leaving the station, he sent a courier at the gate of a certain community, suspected of being stolen goods.

The task force immediately arranged for police forces to visit and track and search nearby express delivery regional sites one by one. At about 7:8 on July 1, the task force intercepted the express sent by Chen Mouchao to Beijing at a courier Shanghai sorting center in Qingpu District, Shanghai, and found stolen diamonds in it, which were identified as stolen diamonds. The recipient on the courier tracking number was Chen Mouchao's younger brother Chen Moufeng, and the special case team tracked the line to the above address, and on July 20, another suspect in this case, Chen Moufeng, was also arrested by the police.

At present, the criminal suspects Chen Mouchao and Chen Moufeng have been criminally detained by the Jing'an police in accordance with the law on suspicion of theft, and the case is under further investigation. (End)
