A group of 12,2 patients with the new coronavirus in Osaka conducted a survey of 10,1 patients with the new coronavirus, and found that about <> in <> people had symptoms such as headache and malaise even after the treatment of the new corona was completed two weeks after the onset of the disease.

A group including the National Institute of Biomedical Innovation, Health and Nutrition in Ibaraki City, Osaka, and Tokushukai conducted a survey on the symptoms that follow treatment for the novel coronavirus based on data from the medical records of more than 2020,6 patients aged 3 to 0 who visited Tokushukai hospitals nationwide in the three years from 85 to June last year.

As a result of analyzing each symptom, approximately 12 in 2000 patients had four symptoms: headache, malaise/fatigue, taste disorder, and olfactory disorder more than two weeks after the onset.

In addition, about 2% of patients aged 4 and over continued to have symptoms of depression even after two weeks, and about half of the patients continued to have symptoms such as deterioration of physical functions due to medical treatment.

The after-effects of the new corona have become a problem, but according to the group, this is the first time that a large-scale survey using medical record information has been conducted in relation to the after-effects of the new coronavirus.

Yumiko Imai of the research institute said, "Depression and deterioration of physical function can lead to a decrease in quality of life, and continuous follow-up is necessary even after recovery from the new coronavirus.
