Yuxi, July 7 (Huang Xinghong) On the 17th, the large-scale stage play "Flower Waist Bamboo Girl" was reported and reviewed at the Nie Er Grand Theater in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. The play connects the ancient Dian culture and the Huawai Dai culture through a poignant love story, and activates the bronze cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage, and is expected to be officially performed in September this year.

"Flower Waist Bamboo Girl" is created by Yuxi Nie Er Bamboo Orchestra, with a duration of 80 minutes, divided into five chapters: "Yin", the first "Ancient Dians", the middle "Bronze", the next "Flower Waist", and the epilogue "Millennium Review". The story tells that the ancient Dian "goldsmith" and the "ancient Dian princess" fell in love but failed to stay together, and later the "goldsmith" accidentally traveled to <>,<> years later, and found that a flower-waist Dai girl was his lover "Princess Gudian <>,<> years ago".

It is worth mentioning that the play uses Yunnan ethnic folk musical instruments, including bamboo row piano, bamboo wind piano, mouth string, etc., and bamboo musical instruments made by the inheritors of bamboo musical instrument making skills of Yunnan Province's intangible cultural heritage, with performance as the main and song and dance as the supplement. In addition, it also uses music to describe the life scenes and customs of the ancient Dian Kingdom and the Huawai Dai, showing a large number of bronzes unearthed in Yuxi, as well as Huawai Dai costumes.

The screenwriter of the play, Jiang Mingchu, introduced that the Huawai Dai is a branch of the Dai people, and legend has it that they are descendants of the royal family of the ancient Dian Kingdom, mainly living in Xinping and Yuanjiang counties in Yunnan Province, in the middle and upper reaches of the Red River. Its colorful costumes have been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. The creation of the play adds ancient Dian culture, bronze culture, ethnic culture and intangible cultural heritage, aiming to inherit and display the excellent culture of Yunnan.

Yang Jianlan, deputy director of Yuxi Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, introduced that Yuxi City has created "Flower Waist Bamboo Girl" as an artistic masterpiece, integrating inheritance, artistry and sustainability, and is an alternative cultural relic activation stage work that conforms to the aesthetics of contemporary people. On the basis of the Yuxi Nie Er Bamboo Orchestra, the performance team further integrated the strength of literary and artistic talents such as Yuxi Lantern and Hongta District Cultural Troupe, and also invited the participation of top ten outstanding young people in China, national first-class actors, young dancers Song Jie and other big coffee, ensuring the level and artistry of the play.
