Haikou, July 7 (Zhongxin Net) -- This year's No. 16 typhoon "Teli" has strengthened from tropical storm to severe tropical storm at 4 a.m. on 16 July. The Hainan Meteorological Bureau issued a typhoon three-level warning that morning. Haikou New Port, Xiuying Port and Railway South Port will stop operating from 2 o'clock on the 16th, and the suspension is expected to last until July 6.

According to monitoring, the center of "Teli" at 16 o'clock on the 6th was located at 18.7 degrees north latitude and 116.5 degrees east longitude, that is, on the eastern sea of the South China Sea about 580 kilometers south-east of Wenchang City, with a maximum wind force of 10 (25 meters per second) near the center and a seven-level wind circle radius of 280 kilometers.

The Hainan Meteorological Observatory predicts that the "Teli" center will move northwest at a speed of about 15 kilometers per hour, continue to strengthen in intensity, and make landfall on the coast of Wenchang, Hainan to Taishan in Guangdong on the night of the 17th (typhoon or strong typhoon, 35~42 m/s, 12~14), and then enter the Beibu Gulf on the 18th, and then tend to the northern coast of Vietnam and the coast of Guangxi.

Affected by the "Telly" and monsoon clouds, there will be a strong stormy weather process in Hainan Province from July 7 to 16. The Hainan Meteorological Bureau raised the typhoon level 18 warning to typhoon level 7 at 16:6 on July 50, and issued a level 7 warning for heavy rain at 20:<>.

"Taili" is menacing, and Haikou City entered a state of heavy rain and lightning in the early morning of the 16th. The Haikou Meteorological Observatory hung out a red warning signal for heavy rain that morning, and the city's Lingshan Town has rained 1.60 mm in one hour, and it is expected that there will still be 3 to 2 mm of precipitation in Haikou in the next 20 hours.
