Children who lost family members in incidents and accidents were invited to a concert by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Band, where they enjoyed clapping their hands and touching musical instruments to the rhythm of popular anime songs.

Seven people between the ages of 6 and 16 who lost family members in incidents and accidents were invited to the concert held in Kodaira City, Tokyo, and their families.

At the venue, the children enjoyed clapping their hands to the rhythm of the performances of popular anime songs and turning flags to the music.

After this, the children touched various musical instruments and took commemorative photos with the members of the band.

A female student in the third year of junior high school who lost her siblings in a traffic accident eight years ago said, "It was a performance that conveyed grandeur, and I am glad that I was able to hold the flag of the people of the color guard."

The father of this female student said, "I still feel the loss of my family, but I think it cheered me up, and I am grateful that there are people who support me."

Mari Shigenari, chief of the Public Relations Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, said, "We hope to deliver a peaceful time to those who have had a difficult experience, and we hope that this activity will be an opportunity to expand the circle of support."
