In the Prinzenbad in Berlin-Kreuzberg, a man has been injured in an altercation.

As a police spokeswoman said on Monday, two young people had argued early Sunday evening. The man had intervened to separate the two parties and had been injured in the head and upper body. He was taken to the hospital and has since been discharged.

According to police, one suspect was arrested, another identified. A third party was able to flee undetected.

The Berlin »Tagesspiegel« reported that the victim had been »knocked out«. Eight police vehicles and an ambulance from the Berlin fire brigade were deployed on site. According to the police spokesman, the bathing operation was not restricted by the incident.

After repeated violence, entry to Berlin's outdoor swimming pools has only been possible with an ID since last Saturday.
