When can I throw myself?", asked Greta Fernández (Barcelona, 1995) in a paradisiacal corner of Santa Eulalia, in Ibiza. The sparkling waters of the Mediterranean Sea were there waiting for her, so attainable and desirable, for those mermaids who carry salt water in their hearts. "The sea drives me crazy, I admit that I wanted to finish the photo shoot to bathe," he confesses without dissimulation.

This hint of spontaneity gives Greta Fernández that carefree joy that is appreciated in short distances. An image far from her digital identity with more sober poses: "I think people have assumed that I am distant, and it tastes bad to me, because I am not like that at all," acknowledges the Barcelona actress.

Dressed "like a modern Marie Antoinette", with the power conferred by the sophisticated swimsuits and accessories of the new Dioriviera summer capsule, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Christian Dior, Greta Fernández talks about her role as the protagonist of 'Unicorns' (2023), the first fiction feature film by filmmaker Álvaro Lora. A generational portrait that puts on the table the emotional fragility, the capitalization of love and the toxicity of social networks. We bring out of the depths of the ocean some issues that concern young people.

Before the release of Unicorns (in theaters from June 30), what about the character of Isa in Greta? It gives life to an unsatisfied young woman who begins a dangerous path to drift. Isa is a girl who is surrounded by many stimuli: social networks, relationships, sex, parties... And it is impressive to see how he pulls, endures and lives with all this. Saving the distances with the character, we have all lived similar situations. I remember when I had not turned 20 having some similar reactions such as jealousy, envy or misunderstanding. I think that when you are young it is common to feel some discomfort. You do not just know what is happening to you and, therefore, you do not know how to manage it.How did you manage to channel these negative emotions? Therapy has helped me a lot. Now I don't do it anymore, but for a long time it has provided me with the tools to know how to manage the moments of downturn. We all feel sad and lost sometimes, but when you know how to manage these feelings is when you start to get your life on track and be comfortable with yourself. I confess that now that I am approaching 30 a little bit, and that I had always reneged. Now I see that you have to look for life a little. In love I am not in such a hurry, but at work I am more aware that I need to have some economic stability, even if my profession is not.

All stages of life have their own swing... Totally agree, and if you live from interpretation you have to be comfortable with instability, because it will always be. Otherwise, you can go crazy!Does a person need to hit rock bottom to find the meaning of his existence? I believe that there are no formulas to live, and the most important thing is that you know how to get the good out of each situation. Hitting rock bottom can sometimes be good, and sometimes it can't. I believe that it is not necessary to touch the limits to learn from what happened. His profession is a double-edged sword. Where do you draw the boundaries between the public and private spheres? So far I have not had problems with my privacy. I think my private life doesn't interest my audience so much, because the films I've made aren't aimed at young people so that they're interested in what I do and what I don't do. In addition, I am very open and transparent, I do not worry about hiding.Does the exposure of the female body in social networks make us stronger or more vulnerable to others? And do you consider this supposed freedom to be real or imposed? It is a very complex reality to encompass everything and I have my own contradictions. In principle, you would have to publish what you want without there being rules. At the same time, I also don't like the idea that you have to show your body however you want to reinforce female empowerment. I didn't just buy this speech. What is the importance of keeping up appearances? In my profession you have to keep them a little so as not to feel so exposed. Anyway, I do not feel observed in my day to day. What relationship does it have with fashion? Dior dressed her in a very special moment for you, when she picked up the Silver Shell at the San Sebastian Festival for her role in 'A Thief's Daughter', by Belén Funes. I lived it as a dream and felt very special. I have a very creative relationship with fashion. I admit that I know very little about her, but it drives me crazy. I change up to three times a day and whenever I enter the dressing room I have fun and play to see who I am.

Who is Greta Fernández naked? They say that, if there is something that distinguishes me from others, it is the way I tell what happens to me and to be comfortable with vulnerability. And I realize it's not that common. At home, emotions have always been on the table, there are no taboos and we wonder how we are without answering by automatisms. I'm a professional at doing nothing. And besides, I have no regrets [laughs]. I get up, walk, have coffee, go to the gym, cook, read and meet my friends. There is always some plan. In summer, yes, I have to be near the sea. It drives me crazy and my body asks me to be submerged in water.
