In the early morning of the 2nd, a fire burned down the building of a soy sauce brewery in Sakuragawa City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which is a national registered tangible cultural property, and when we examined the site, we found that the burning of the brewing facility was intense. Police are investigating the cause of the fire, believing that it may have spread from a brewery to a cultural property.

Shortly after midnight on the 2nd, a fire broke out at the soy sauce brewery "Suzuki Brewery" in Kojo, Makabe-cho, Sakuragawa City, burning a total of 0,4 square meters of four wooden houses, offices, and brewing facilities, and the main building, a one-story wooden house built in the Edo period, with a roof tile of about 1400 square meters, also burned down.

On the 200rd, the police and fire department inspected the scene, and according to the police, the fire in the brewing facility next to the "main house" was severe.

Police believe that a fire may have originated from the brewery and spread to the "main house" and are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.

On the other hand, no damage to the "Nagaya Gate", which is also a national registered tangible cultural property on the premises, has been confirmed.

The scene immediately after the fire broke out was "a flame so loud that the area became brighter"

At around 2 a.m. on the 1nd, right after the fire broke out from the brewery, a man living nearby filmed the fire.

You can see that the brewery is red and engulfed in a large flame, and the "main building", a one-story building registered as a national tangible cultural property, is also burning violently.

The man who took the photo said, "I noticed the fire by the sound of the siren of the fire truck. There were tourists who came to the main house, and it was a symbol of the area that the locals were familiar with."
