An art exhibition in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg with more than

150 replicas of Banksy's work

has become a success despite the fact that the artist has clearly positioned himself against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The collection has previously visited Moscow, also with a large influx of visitors.

The exhibition includes the urban, original, sometimes devastating, but, above all, inimitable vision of the artist;

accompanied on this occasion by a complex scenography for the greater enjoyment of the public.

Last November,

Banksy

confirmed that he had created seven murals in various places in Ukraine, including the capital, Kiev, and other populations hardest hit by Russian bombing.

In early January, the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office reported that a suspect had tried to steal one of those works, painted on the facade of an abandoned building in Gostomel, on the outskirts of kyiv.

It was the second attempt in a month.
