"The first three days will serve as a full-scale test before the center is fully operational next week", underlined the prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine Emmanuel Berthier.

The pace will accelerate in the coming days with 400 people who will be vaccinated this Thursday, 600 Friday and 1,000 from Monday.

"If necessary, the center will be able to double and even triple its capacity to reach 3,000 injections per day," said the prefect.

All full slots until April 26

In this center open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., it is the firefighters and departmental council agents who are in charge of administering the doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Reinforcements will arrive in the coming days, including around 100 firefighters who are currently trained in vaccination.
