Shiga Prefecture announced on the 29th that five new people in the prefecture were confirmed to have been infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 441 people were confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced the death of a woman over 90 who had been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. Five people died in the prefecture.
