Okinawa Prefecture New Corona 34 new infected confirmed dead 1 person August 26, 17:12
Okinawa Prefecture announced on the 26th that 34 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. With this, the total number of infected people in the prefecture was 1977.
The prefecture also announced that a woman in her 80s living in Naha city, which had been confirmed to have been infected, died on the 26th. Deaths were confirmed for the fourth consecutive day, and now there are 25 people dead in the prefecture.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military contacted the prefecture that two new infections, one at Camp Zukeran and one at Camp Courtney, were newly confirmed. Now there are 369 confirmed infections among US military personnel in Okinawa.
