The surveillance cameras showed the moment a baby fell after escaping the hand of his mother, who lost her balance as she descended from the escalator in a mall in the Chinese city of Dongguan, the Daily Mail reported.
The mother was carrying her 3-month-old baby on her left arm, apparently losing her balance as she descended from the escalator with her older son.
For its part, the Chinese government said in a statement that the paramedics announced the death of the baby immediately, after the failure of attempts to revive.
