Finland ranked first in the world for the second year in a row, according to the World Happiness Report of the United Nations on 20 March 2019. Finland topped this time at the expense of Denmark, which came in second place by 169 points, while it exceeded its neighbor Norway, with a difference of 38 points last year.

This year's report ranked 156 countries according to the happiness of their citizens, which gave the Finns the first place as the world's population due to the rise in per capita GDP, the average age, the relationship of individuals to nature and their preservation, freedom and the absence of corruption and other indicators.
