An American confessed to trying to steal a commercial plane in order to travel to Chicago for a concert.

Texarkana Gazette reported that Zimarkois Scott pleaded guilty to robbery and burglary and was sentenced to five years' imprisonment.

Authorities said Scott was found on July 4 in the cockpit of the American Eagle plane at Texarkana Regional Airport and was hoping to travel to a concert outside the state.

Investigations showed that Scott had no training on aircraft command, thought it was simple and needed to press some buttons, and pulled only some knobs.
