First, the Belt and Road Initiative has opened up a new path for mutual benefit and win-win development. Focusing on the fundamental issue of development, the Belt and Road Initiative has injected new impetus into the development of the countries by deepening practical cooperation in various fields, and has continuously promoted the common modernization of the countries. From 2013 to October 2023, China's total import and export volume with co-construction countries exceeded 10 trillion U.S. dollars, and the cumulative direct investment in co-construction countries exceeded 21 billion U.S. dollars. A number of "small but beautiful" livelihood projects, such as "Juncao", Luban Workshop, and drilling wells for water supply, have played an important role in helping the country get rid of poverty, cultivate vocational ability, and improve living conditions, and the people's sense of happiness has been continuously enhanced.
Second, the Belt and Road Initiative has led to the creation of a new model for promoting global connectivity. A large number of landmark projects such as the China-Laos Railway, the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, and the Piraeus Port have been completed and put into operation, and the China-Europe Railway Express has opened up a new channel for Asia-Europe land transportation, providing strong support for the economic and social development of the country.
Third, the Belt and Road Initiative has led to the exploration of new solutions to accelerate the reform of the global governance system. The Belt and Road Initiative adheres to true multilateralism, firmly adheres to the concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits in global governance, and adheres to the principle of equality, mutual respect and consultation among large and small countries, creating a sound international environment for peace, cooperation and mutual benefit.
