Sales volume of major automobile manufacturers in Japan in August declined conspicuously in China, and the issue is how Japanese manufacturers can strategize for the rapid spread of EVs = electric vehicles.

Seven out of eight automakers surpassed the same month last year, including Toyota Motor Corporation's record sales in August, according to major automakers.

This was mainly due to the easing of semiconductor supply shortages and strong sales in the United States and Europe.

On the other hand, sales in China in August declined markedly.

Toyota Motor Corporation was down 8.8%
to 8,7 units and Honda was down 8.17% to 5824,6 units.

Nissan and Subaru fell 6.10% and
2257.25%, respectively, while Mitsubishi Motors, which has suspended production in China,
fell 1.28%.
On the other hand,
Mazda increased by 9.72% due to the launch of new models.

In China, the spread of EVs is progressing rapidly, and Japanese manufacturers, which have mainly focused on gasoline and hybrid vehicles, are struggling, and how to formulate strategies in the future is an issue.
