Sponsored by the Economic Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the Dongguan Municipal Government and the All-China Federation of Taiwan Enterprises, this year's Taiwan Expo lasts for 5 days, aiming to assist the vast number of Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises to participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, expand the mainland domestic market, and integrate into the new development pattern.
At the opening ceremony on September 9, the signing ceremony of Taiwan-funded projects and Taiwanese product purchase agreements was held at the same time, 7 projects with a total investment agreement of 22.139 billion yuan were signed, and enterprises from seven cities including Guangzhou and Shenzhen reached agreements with Taiwanese enterprises on the purchase and sale of agricultural products.
From the afternoon of the 7th to the 9th, the guests visited nine cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou, divided into three routes: the main line, the eastern route and the western route, to fully understand the construction and business environment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This year, the scale of the event reached a record high, the exhibition area was expanded to 3,6 square meters, the theme pavilion of high-quality development of manufacturing industry, the artificial intelligence and semiconductor pavilion, the youth innovation and entrepreneurship hall and other special pavilions were set up, the Hong Kong pavilion and the Macao pavilion were added, 22 counties and cities in Taiwan were organized to participate in the exhibition, 24 provinces and cities across the country set up pavilions, and the number of exhibitors on both sides of the strait reached 727, with a total of more than 2100,<> booths.
