Beijing, September 9 (ZXS) -- The operation of electric vehicle charging and swapping infrastructure in August 11 released by the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance on the 11th shows that China's public charging infrastructure has maintained growth as a whole.

According to reports, in August 2023, public charging piles increased by 8,7 units compared with July, and August increased by 6.1% year-on-year.

As of August 2023, member units in the alliance have reported a total of 8.227 million public charging piles, including 2,96 DC charging piles and 3.130 million AC charging piles. From September 7 to August 2022, an average of about 9,2023 new public charging piles will be added every month.

According to the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, public charging infrastructure construction areas were concentrated in August 2023, with public charging piles built in the top ten areas of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hubei, Beijing, Shandong, Anhui, Henan and Fujian accounting for 8.71%.

At the same time, the concentration of charging power in public charging infrastructure is high. The national charging power is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hebei, Fujian, Shanghai, Shandong, Shaanxi, Henan and other provinces, the power flow is mainly buses and passenger cars, sanitation logistics vehicles, taxis and other types of vehicles account for relatively small.

In August 2023, the total charging power in the country was about 8.32 billion kWh, an increase of 6 million kWh from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 0.1%.

In addition, from January to August 2023, the increase in charging infrastructure was 1.8 million units, of which 199,8 public charging piles and 47.4 million private charging piles were built with vehicles, an increase of 152.4% year-on-year.

As of August 2023, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure nationwide was 8.720 million units, a year-on-year increase of 8.67%. (End)
