From a month-on-month perspective, the CPI rose 0.1% month-on-month, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, affected by weather, storage policies and other factors, the price of fresh vegetables and pork rose significantly, driving food prices to increase by 1.4% from a 0.1% decline in the previous month, affecting the CPI by about 0.01 percentage points. Among the food products, the prices of pork, fresh vegetables and eggs increased by 11.7%, 8.3% and 4.8% respectively. Fresh fruit prices fell by 9.0% month-on-month on account of an increase in seasonal fruit launches. Non-food prices rose by 0.1%, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the CPI by about 0.11 percentage points. Among non-food products, near the end of the summer vacation, travel gradually decreased, air ticket prices fell by 5.0%, travel agency fees and hotel accommodation prices increased by 3.8% and 1.5% respectively, the increase rate declined; Affected by international commodity price fluctuations, gasoline and diesel prices rose by 4.9% and 5.3% respectively, while gold jewellery prices rose by 0.4%.

From a year-on-year perspective, the CPI rose 0.3% year-on-year, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the previous month. Among them, food prices fell by 1.2%, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the CPI by about 0.17 percentage points. Among food products, the price of fresh vegetables increased by 7.2% from a 1.4% decrease in the previous month. Pork prices fell 15.1%, down 11.2 percentage points from the previous month; egg prices rose 2.2%, an increase of 1.9 percentage points over the previous month; and fresh fruit prices fell 5.4% from 1.7% last month. Non-food prices rose by 0.6%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over the previous month, affecting the CPI by about 0.48 percentage points. Among non-food items, hotel accommodation, travel agency charges and air ticket prices rose by 26.7%, 18.9% and 9.2% respectively. Gold jewellery prices rose 17.4%, down 3.1 percentage points from the previous month, while gasoline and diesel prices continued to narrow their declines, falling 4.7% and 5.0% respectively.
