Arafat Abou-Chaker is said to have planned the kidnapping of Bushido's children - and was also arrested in mid-January. Because of "missing grounds" he may now leave the pre-trial detention.

The Berlin clan leader Arafat Abou-Chaker is released from pretrial detention. An investigating judge has lifted the arrest warrant for the 42-year-old for lack of grounds, said the Berlin Attorney General on Twitter.

The authorities are investigating complaints, it was said. The arrest warrant had been enforced in mid-January for a crime and incitement to kidnap. Arafat Abou-Chaker, along with his brother Yasser Abou-Chaker, is said to have prepared and sought the kidnapping of Bushido's wife and children.

Bushido and Arafat Abou-Chaker have been business partners and friends for years. In March 2018 the break occurred. Since then, the men are fighting over the business.
