Ushakov said that BRICS is ahead of the G7 in terms of purchasing power parity

Highlights: Ushakov said that BRICS is ahead of the G7 in terms of purchasing power parity. According to Ushakov’s forecasts, by 2028 these indicators will change even more in favor of the BRICS. The West is undisguisedly jealous of the expansion of BRICS and is trying to undermine and weaken the association, according to the assistant to the Russian President. The association accounts for 35.6% of global GDP, while the G 7 accounts for 30.3%.

Assistant to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov said that the BRICS countries have already overtaken the G7 in terms of purchasing power parity.


He stated this in an interview with TASS.

“In terms of purchasing power parity, BRICS has already surpassed that of the G7: the association accounts for 35.6% of global GDP, while the G7 accounts for 30.3%,” the agency’s interlocutor said. 

According to Ushakov’s forecasts, by 2028 these indicators will change even more in favor of the BRICS, when the association will account for 36.6% of global GDP, and the G7 - 27.8%.

Earlier, Ushakov said that the West is undisguisedly jealous of the expansion of BRICS and is trying to undermine and weaken the association.
