The service union Ver.di is increasing the pressure in the collective bargaining dispute with Deutsche Lufthansa.
The employees of the freight subsidiary Lufthansa Cargo should stop their work for a day on Saturday, said Ver.di negotiator Marvin Reschinsky.
Whether Lufthansa's appointment offer will be further negotiated on Monday depends on an improved offer from the airline.
According to the union, Lufthansa has not yet responded to this demand.
Ver.di had called on employees and trainees from the group companies Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Aviation Training and Lufthansa Technical Training to go on a three-day warning strike starting on Wednesday.
Lufthansa did not respond to the union's proposal to bring forward a fifth round of negotiations agreed for mid-March.
No impact on the flight plan was expected.
Ver.di is demanding 12.5 percent more salary, at least 500 euros per month, for a twelve-month contract for the approximately 25,000 employees of Lufthansa AG, Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cargo.
