Press secretary of the governor of the Kaliningrad region Dmitry Lyskov said that the Baltic Sea will never become a NATO zone.


He emphasized that Kaliningrad does not threaten anyone, and neighboring countries are engaged in saber-rattling.

In addition, Lyskov added that there are three Russian ports in the Baltic Sea.

“This is Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg and, accordingly, Ust-Luga.

Also, the Baltic Sea is the home sea for the twice Red Banner Baltic Fleet,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Earlier, former Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius, who now works as ambassador to Sweden, threatened to “neutralize” Kaliningrad if Russia challenges NATO.
