Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev expressed the opinion that servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who have not been convicted of committing crimes against humanity can be forgiven after the end of the special military operation.


The politician said this in an interview with Russian media.

Medvedev recalled that after the end of World War II, most participants in the German war machine returned home, because those who were not convicted of crimes against humanity and genocide were forgiven.

“In a sense, the same scale should be applied here,” he suggested.

Medvedev emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces treat Ukrainian prisoners of war very humanely.
