The separation became public last year, now it's official: Hollywood star Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are no longer a married couple. The two are divorced, according to court documents reported by People magazine and the AP news agency, among others. According to the court in Santa Barbara County, California, the divorce is dated last Friday.

In May, Costner and Baumgartner announced their separation after 24 years together and 18 years of marriage. The reason is “irreconcilable differences”. At first it looked like a protracted War of the Roses. The disputes are said to have involved, among other things, maintenance payments and custody of their children. They then surprisingly reached an agreement in September.

Costner and Baumgartner have three teenage children together: Cayden, Hayes and Grace. The 69-year-old also has four adult children from previous relationships.

Kevin Costner had his breakthrough in 1991 with the western drama “Dances with Wolves.” Most recently he celebrated success as one of the main actors in the television series “Yellowstone”.
