RT military correspondent Viktor Miroshnikov was one of the first to visit liberated Avdeevka, where he discovered cars with Polish license plates, which were shot by the Ukrainian military during the flight, “so that no one would get it.”

“It’s hard to look at all this,” said the military correspondent, showing the destroyed houses.

According to him, local residents had to spend several hours running from one house to another to get water under shelling: the artillery fire was so intense here.

The video published by RT shows the consequences of the fighting in the city.

Now engineers are clearing mines from roads and buildings in the liberated city.

On February 17, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin about the capture of Avdeevka. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1.5 thousand military personnel in the battles for Avdeevka per day.
