As the commander of an engineering platoon with the call sign Usman said, the Ukrainian military was “very clever” in mining the territory of the city, so the mine clearance work is being carried out carefully.

The defense department added that over the past 24 hours a bridge in Avdeevka was cleared of mines, under which there was a laying of anti-tank mines and a TNT charge with a remote fuse.

“More than 80 explosive objects and unexploded ordnance were also destroyed on site using overhead charges,” the statement said.

Earlier, information was received that the Russian Armed Forces had occupied more advantageous positions in the Avdeevsky direction.
